The House Wine of the South

Hey folks,

One of the new opportunities that I am excited about this year is a chance to contribute regularly to the print edition of The American Conservative magazine. Such gracious invitations as this gets me one step closer to writing for a living. I expect that the majority of my pieces will revolve around culture (and Southern culture in particular).

Though my first piece is expected to appear in the July edition of the magazine, the editors chose to run the piece online today since I wrote about a national treasure and this is its national holiday.
